Second blog post

 

Welcome to my second blog post. Today I will talk about our team’s software development and how we will develop our program. 

When we started our planning phase, we had a clear idea what we wanted from the program. We wanted an application that students and teachers could use, and the application would easier their everyday life at the university. The application is calendar system where you can list your tasks and also check menus from the university restaurants.  

One of our challenges is coding the application. We have smart people on our team so we can develop the app by ourselves, but I can say it will be challenging. When we start to code, first we need to do the user interface and then we can start coding the functionality of the application. For that we need multiple different classes and inheritance between classes to get to application work. Also we need database for the user information and for the food on the restaurant menus. We need user information for measuring how many people are using the application and for marketing purposes. 

One of our challenges is security of the application. We didn’t decide how we will build the application and how we will secure our users’ information but we need employees to work on it so we have to hire people. I guess this data security part will be one of our most challenging part of the project.  After we have made the application safe to use we will start the testing phase. 

In the testing phase we will test our application with our users. We need to ask questions about the application so we can send survey via email to our users and then we get some feedback. After that we can improve our application and find the missing pieces of the application.
